Yakima County Development Association, in partnership with the Produce Safety Alliance and Impact Washington, hosted the Produce Safety Training Course April 24th. During the full day course growers and food processors learn about the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and how to utilize Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). The course satisfies the FSMA requirements as outlined by the Food and Drug Administration. More upcoming classes are being offered though Impact Washington.
