SIED Board Recommends $1 Million to Support CPC International Apples Expansion

This past July the Supporting Investments in Economic Development (SIED) program recommended providing The city of Tieton a $500,000 grant and $500,000 loan to help pay for the construction of a new well to accommodate the expansion of CPC International Apples. The expansion will add as many as 100 new jobs.
CPC will be constructing a new 100,000 square foot expansion of its packing line and 30,000 square feet of cold storage space. The new well, a public facility owned by the City of Tieton, will help meet the project’s increased water demand while ensuring capacity to support future residential growth. The SIED program is the result of 1997 legislation to help remedy distress in rural areas.
