Port of Grandview Announces Another New Addition to Bayam Business Park

Just one week after announcing the arrival of three new businesses to the Port of Grandview’s Byam Business Park, the Port is honored to announce another addition. We are pleased to announce that Henningsen Cold Storage Co. has signed an agreement to purchase nearly 26 acres of property to expand its business into Grandview.
Henningsen Cold Storage Co. is one of the largest public refrigerated warehousing companies in the U.S. with locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
“As a Northwest family-owned company, we are excited to support the continued growth of our region and look forward to working with both the Port and the City of Grandview,” said Bob Lawyer, Henningsen Cold Storage Co. regional manager.
The company plans to use the Port of Grandview property to build a cold storage facility. The first of three phases of construction includes the building of a more than 140,000 square-foot facility located along Stover Road.
Port of Grandview Commissioners Ron Grow, Jim Sewell and Richard Shenyer are pleased to welcome Henningsen Cold Storage Co. to the Port.
“We are excited to see this new major business coming into the Port,” Sewell said. “Especially coming on the heels of last week’s announcement of three other new businesses building in our Byam Business Park.”
The Port of Grandview is one of the newest port districts in the state. It was established in 1988 and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2018. Over the course of its history the Port has worked to fill its Wallace Way property, which is home to more than half a dozen successful businesses, while expanding its acreage to include shovel-ready property in the Byam Business Park.
