Yakima County Development Association is pleased to announce that Sarah Truglio has been hired as the regions new Business Advisor.
Sarah will provide customized one-on one business advising, training, and marketing intelligence to companies, entrepreneurs, and startups throughout the Yakima Valley.
The business advisor position is the result of a partnership between Yakima County Development Association and the Washington State Small Business Development Center.
“This partnership brings together the best of what both organizations provide to local businesses,” explained Jonathan Smith, Executive Director for the Yakima County Development Association. “This opens the door for the local companies we work with on a regular basis to access an expanded set of professional services, tools, and resources that are available only through the State Small Business Development network.”
Sarah comes to the Business Advisor position from Ellensburg, WA where she has spent the last five years with the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce – first as the Director of Membership Services and then as the Director of Business Development.
Some of Sarah’s most notable accomplishments include:
- Managing and operating the Ellensburg Business Incubator and the Catalyst Co-Working Spaces in Cle Elum and Ellensburg
- Administering microloan funding for small business financing
- Providing business outreach, advising, and technical support to companies throughout Kittitas County
“I’m looking forward to joining both teams,” said Sarah. “It is a great opportunity to take on a position that bridges these two organizations and allows me to provide the ultimate set of services to our growing business community.”
Sarah joins the team in January of 2018 and will be located in the Yakima County Development Association Offices at 10 North 9th Street, Yakima 98901.
