YCDA Business Management Academy – Day 1: Leadership

The Business Management Academy is an eight-course leadership development series designed to strengthen and enhance managers’ skills in communication, relationship building, finance, change, conflict resolution, and generational management.
2020 SERIES SCHEDULE
FEBRUARY 5
DAY 1: Leadership
Learn to create a work environment that inspires great work, excel at communication, engage in tough talks, and master coaching employees.
MARCH 4
DAY 2: Workplace Behaviors
Learn to engage individuals and build more effective relationships at work by developing a strategy to adapt to other communication styles.
APRIL 1
DAY 3: Customer Service, Succession Planning, and Diversity and Inclusion
Stay focused on internal and external customers. Apply long-term goals and objectives for succession planning. Ensure all employees feel accepted and valued through diversity and inclusion.
MAY 6
DAY 4: Management
Learn to successfully engage, motivate, and develop staff by understanding your influence style and learn how to adapt in order to bring out the best in them.
JUNE 3
DAY 5: Critical Thinking, Decision Making, and Negotiations
Learn to present convincing reasoning, make intelligent decisions, and negotiate to achieve the best possible outcomes.
SEPTEMBER 2
DAY 6: Team Building
Learn about the stages of team development, how to set team boundaries, norms, and dynamics.
OCTOBER 7
DAY 7: Financial and Change Management
Learn to understand budgets, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and the 20 essential change management principles.
NOVEMBER 4
DAY 8: Conflict Resolution and Generational Management
Learn to lead a multi-generational workplace and handle your own conflicts more productively by focusing on your reactions, destructive behaviors, and learning to choose a more productive response.
Register for all eight-courses for $1,500. Trainings are 8:30am-4:30pm. Lunch and materials are provided.
